Biosafety

The Department of Microbiology mandates laboratory supervisors to ensure that biosafety guidelines have been discussed with their laboratory staff (both Research scholars and Technical staff). They are required to ensure that Biosafety guidelines are being followed at all time. It is required that Biosafety guidelines manual be prominently displayed in laboratory and should be handily available to all members of laboratory. The laboratories in the Department of Microbiology follow BSL1 and BSL2 practices depending on risk group level of microbe being handled.
